| Since 2006 Cascade Dance Academy on Snoqualmie Ridge has been a fun and positive studio to bring your aspiring dancer to. Owner Katie Higuchi continues to watch over her students as they blossom and grow. CDA has recently expanded into a state of the art dance studio. This is truly a dancers’ haven . The design aesthetics are beautiful with chandeliers, dramatic ceilings, fine art, and warm color pallets. We offer a 1,500 square foot facility with a spacious dance floor. Our floors are sprung to ensure a safe surface to train on and are covered with Marley, the flooring choice of professional facilities today including PNB. We have a separate dressing room and a bathroom, office/retail store, and walls dressed with fine art and warm colors designed to make you feel like you are coming home. Our lobbies are tiled with safety flooring to minimize slips in tap shoes. | |

Our instructors are passionate about educating the dancers of the future. We train dancers who are here for recreational purposes as well as students with professional aspirations. All of our teachers have a degree in dance which ensures proper knowledge of anatomical dance principles. We offer instructors and guest teachers who are currently performing in professional dance and theatre throughout Seattle giving your student relevant experiences to draw from. Our high standards for instructors and curriculum are the foundation for our success and your students’ learning. We believe that sound technical dance training should start as early as your child’s first class. |
Cascade Dance Academy was founded in 2006 by Katie Higuchi. Ms. Katie’s collegiate training and years performing professionally led her into
teaching and eventually starting Cascade Dance Academy. She graduated Cum Laude from the University of Washington with a Bachelor’s in Dance
and a Minor in Drama. She moved to NYC post graduation to continue her training. She has taught classes all over Washington State including
Theatre Jazz at UW. Her husband Sean and Weimaraner Lucy also help her out behind the scenes. We would be honored to meet you and give you a
